Maya / PayMaya
Overview
Maya (formerly PayMaya) is the Philippines' largest mobile wallet with 60M+ users. It operates both as an e-money institution (Maya Payments Pi) and a digital bank (Maya Bank / MBi). Maya fully complies with QR Ph (the Philippines' national QR standard) and EMVCo MPM specifications. In 2024, the platform processed over ₱1 trillion in transaction value. It supports QR payments, P2P transfers, bill payments, online checkout, and even crypto trading.
QR Format
Maya uses QR Code symbology with an EMVCo Merchant-Presented Mode (MPM) payload. Its QR Ph compliance means it interoperates with all other QR Ph-accepting wallets (GCash, GrabPay, ShopeePay, etc.) via the URL QR format for EMVCo UR payloads. Maya supports both static and dynamic QR codes.
Status
Active in the Philippines.
