Overview

BKM Express is Turkey's national digital wallet, operated by BKM (Bankalararası Kart Merkezi / Interbank Card Center of Turkey) — Turkish banks' shared payments-platform consortium [1, 2, tr-cro]. Launched 2012, BKM Express was the world's first national digital wallet (per BKM). Card owners shop without sharing card information online by saving cards on BKM Express.

Companion infrastructure: TROY (Turkey's Payments Method) — Turkey's national payment-card scheme launched 2016 by BKM. As of August 2025: TROY reached 67 million cards + 20% market share of Turkish card transactions.
