Samsung Pay QR
Overview
Samsung Pay QR is the QR payment scheme of Samsung Pay (Samsung Wallet), Samsung's mobile payment and digital wallet service. Samsung Pay supports QR code payments for merchant transactions across its ecosystem. Samsung Pay has hundreds of millions of devices worldwide with strong presence in South Korea (where it's dominant), USA, and other markets, and integrates with major card networks (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and local payment schemes.
QR Format
Samsung Pay QR uses QR Code symbology with a Samsung Pay-specific UR payload (URL QR). The QR payload contains the Samsung Pay transaction token, device ID, and merchant data. In South Korea, Samsung Pay QR integrates with the local QR payment ecosystem.
